THE STORY
Montréal, 2056. Vajra is seventy and not yet retired. Every night he patrols an empty cultural building as Papa One: water leaks, smoke alarms, burnt-out bulbs, radio codes, and a sidewalk that has become his enemy. He never became a father. He never asked the girl. Nothing in his life lasted long enough to get a name.
One night, in the auditorium, a memory comes back: 2011, a dancer on that same stage, a smile he let walk away. And a voice in the dark asks him the question he has avoided for forty-five years: “You miss her, don't you?”
The voice belongs to the Unknown Man, a gentleman in a gold-embroidered coat who is “in several galaxies at present” and insists he is not the devil. He offers Vajra the life he missed, and asks one thing in return: do not get attached. Nothing is permanent.
Beyond a blue Vajra has never seen lies the corridor. It is not a place of death. It is a dimension that gives you the life you missed and lets you live it, while beings called the Watchers feed on you, holding you in suspension as you come apart by degrees. You get everything you wanted, and they take you for it. Its one law: declare that life permanent, and the Watchers stop hiding.
What follows is a love story told as a horror film, and a horror film that ends as a love story. It is about the price of wanting, and the courage it takes to ask.

It began with an image: an ancient blue nebula in my own footage. It inspired a script called The Third Eye Vision, which grew into Akasha Vilaya Reboot and finally into this corridor. That blue is the blue Vajra has “never seen, not once in my life.”

THE SCREENPLAY
A complete 15-beat Save the Cat screenplay with dialogue written to be remembered. The prompts behind it were forged by combining Grok, Claude, Gemini, Manus and DeepSeek, after two full days of research before a single frame existed.

THE FACES
Every character was designed first as a reference sheet with GPT Image 2.0, then re-prompted and refined until each face could hold across fifty minutes: Vajra at 28 and at 70, Maya, the Unknown Man, the Watchers.

THE GENERATION
Every frame was born from text with ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 inside Higgsfield's Cinema Studio. No stock footage, no photographs, no actors, no cameras. Not one borrowed pixel.

THE CUT
Edited by hand in Adobe Premiere, the old way. Every AI clip was colour graded, joined with deliberate transitions and superimpositions, and every audio line finely mixed. The AI gave the raw material. The film was made in the edit.

THE SCORE
The soundtrack was generated with Kimi K3 by Moonshot AI, plus two tracks created with Google's Gemini Pro, then placed cue by cue against the picture.

THE LANGUAGES
Made in English and Québécois French. Since release the film has been dubbed into Japanese, Russian and Indonesian, and cut vertically with French subtitles for phones.

THE LOOK
Expressionism and surrealism over realism. I am a devoted student of Fritz Lang and Alfred Hitchcock, and their grammar of shadow, suspense and geometry runs through every dissolve. There are no jump scares by design. The dread is built with light and patience.

THE FESTIVALS THAT SAW IT
A film festival is a jury of strangers who owe you nothing. These are the rooms that watched a fifty-minute AI horror film from one man in Montréal and took it seriously. Here is my review of each of them.
BANGKOK MOVIE AWARDS
BANGKOK · THAILAND · OFFICIAL SELECTION → AWARD WINNER
Bangkok first called the film an Official Selection on September 13. Five days later it was named an Award Winner in Horror, Science Fiction Feature. That was the film's first win, and the first award of my life as a filmmaker.
What I respect about Bangkok is its category. It did not file the corridor under “experimental” or “new media,” where AI work is usually sent to be politely ignored. It judged the film as a feature, in the genre it was made for, against films made the traditional way, and it still chose it. That is the only kind of recognition a filmmaker wants: to be measured by the craft, not by the tool.
Its monthly winners also enter the running for the festival's annual Golden Elephant Award, presented at a gala in Bangkok. The corridor is now in that race.

INTERNATIONAL MOVIE AWARDS

International Movie Awards selected the film on September 11, then gave it three awards in three different categories: a Jury Award for Best Sci-Fi, an Award of Merit for Best Animation, and an Honorable Mention for Best Narrative Feature.
Those three categories are the review. Sci-fi means the jury believed in the world: 2056 Montréal, the time portal, the Watchers. Animation means they saw that every frame was built, not photographed. Narrative feature means they saw a story, with a screenplay, a structure and characters who change. That is the one I am proudest of, because it is the thing people say AI cannot do.
Its own certificate says it honours “the art of storytelling and the spirit of innovation.” For this film, that is exactly the right pair of words.

BIAIFF is a festival built only for AI cinema. That makes it the toughest room of all, because every film there was made with the same tools. Nobody is impressed that a machine made an image. They are judging what you did with it.
On September 19 its founder and festival director, Ben Makinen, wrote to tell me the film was a Season 5 Finalist. To stand among the finalists of an AI-only festival means the corridor held its ground among its own kind, on story, on direction and on the edit.

Every film I started before this one died unfinished, for the same two reasons: no budget, and no volunteers who could keep showing up. This is the first one I carried to the end. I finished a film course in 2008 and never received my diploma. At forty, these certificates feel like the graduation I never had. Dan Babineau, my teacher: this is your lesson, delivered eighteen years late.
To everyone who watched, shared, joined the fan club or sent a message: you are the reason the film has a life after release.
And now, honestly, I can't wait to submit the next project. The next corridor is already being written, and it is darker.
